The “Harmony in Diversity” Conference had been organized and financed over the years by University of Library Studies and IT and the “Religions Denominations” Directorate under the Council of Ministers. It was supported by the Commission for Protection from Discrimination (2015), the National Council of Religious Communities in Bulgaria (2015-2018) and the Bulgarian Forum for Inter-religious Dialogue and Partnership (2019-2023).
The thematic focus of the Conference are: human rights and their protection; cultural differences and human rights; cultural dialogue, cultural influences, cultural transfer; cultural differences based on origin, gender, age, race, religion, ethnicity, physical or mental health, etc.; religious communities, religious dialogue, religious pluralism; ethnic communities, ethnic coexistence; social distances and stereotypes; the image of the Other.
